Hope 26 brings music and community together for Fletcher Street Cottage

An afternoon of beautiful live music will bring the Byron community together this August, with Hope 26 raising vital funds for Fletcher Street Cottage.

Held at St Paul’s Anglican Church in Byron Bay on Sunday 23 August, Hope 26 will feature an uplifting program of classical and contemporary music performed by talented local artists.

More than simply an afternoon of entertainment, the event is an opportunity for the community to come together and support people experiencing homelessness and hardship across the Byron Shire.

All proceeds from Hope 26 will support Fletcher Street Cottage, Byron Bay’s dedicated daytime support hub for people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity and disadvantage.

Since opening in 2022, Fletcher Street Cottage has become an essential part of the local community, providing practical support including nutritious breakfasts, showers, laundry facilities, case management, advocacy and connections to housing, health and specialist services.

With demand for support remaining high, community fundraising plays an important role in helping Fletcher Street Cottage continue providing a welcoming and safe place where people can access practical assistance, connection and hope.

Hope 26 is also a wonderful example of the generosity that makes this work possible – local people using their time and talents to make a difference for others.

Guests are invited to enjoy the performances followed by afternoon tea, with entry by donation and all contributions warmly welcomed.
