Discover more of Byron with the new local app

A new app is making it easier for visitors and locals to find out what’s happening around Byron Bay, from live music and markets to places to eat and things to do.

The Byron App was created by Byron-based Adhere Marketing as a digital guide to local businesses, events and experiences. It brings information together in one place, with maps, itineraries and a What’s On calendar. The app is free to download, and local businesses can list for free.

“We’ve been publishing Byron Inside Out, our in-room guide, for nearly 20 years now, so we’ve got a really good understanding of what visitors are looking for and how to help them make the most of their time here,” says Suzie Bradley, owner of Adhere Marketing and The Byron App.

Byron Community Centre’s Byron Markets and Byron Theatre are among the local experiences visitors can discover through the app.

“Byron Markets and Byron Theatre are part of what makes our town such a vibrant place to visit. The app gives people an easy way to discover our markets, find a show and connect with the experiences happening across the community,” says Byron Community Centre General Manager Michelle Heuer.

“We’re delighted to see Byron Markets dates and Byron Theatre shows featured in a locally developed guide. It makes it easier for visitors and locals to find out what’s on and plan their time in Byron,” says Byron Community Centre Communications Manager Kate Love.

The app has also connected with Ticketmaster, allowing users to buy tickets directly for participating events. Other ticketing systems may be added, too.

With no dedicated visitor information centre in Byron Bay, visitors increasingly rely on their phones to find reliable information during their stay. A local digital guide can help people discover more of the region and support local businesses.
