This EOFY, your donation to the Give Her Space campaign can help local women in crisis feel safe, supported and seen. The Women’s Space at Fletcher Street Cottage provides trauma-informed, wraparound care for women facing homelessness, domestic violence and financial distress. With demand continuing to rise, we urgently need your help to keep this vital service running and expand it to reach more women in need. Give Her Space. To recover, reconnect and rebuild.
Right now in Byron, more women than ever are experiencing homelessness, domestic violence and severe financial stress. Many arrive at Fletcher Street Cottage with nowhere else to turn. The Women's Space provides a private, trauma-informed environment where women can access food, showers, emotional support and specialist referrals. It is a place of safety, dignity and care. But we can't offer this service without you! Your tax-deductible donation before June 30th helps ensure that women in crisis are not turned away.
The Women's Space isn't just about immediate relief. It's about helping women feel seen, supported and empowered to begin again. With your support, we've launched weekly Women's Afternoons, offering shared meals, creative activities and connection. As a valued partner, the Mullumbimby Women's Resource Service offers specialist domestic violence assistance. Now, we are ready to expand to a full-day program each week. Your donation helps fund essentials like warm meals and hygiene kits, plus trained staff to provide consistent trauma-informed care. It truly gives her space to heal and rebuild.
Your tax-deductible donation before June 30th will directly support women in our community when they need it most. Every dollar helps us maintain and grow this vital service. From providing fresh meals and clean clothes to offering a safe space for rest, recovery and referrals. We're funded by community generosity and every donation brings us closer to offering full-day, women-only support. Be kind. Give local. Give Her Space.
"This is the first place I've felt safe in months. I had a shower, something to eat and someone found me a place to stay. That change everything." (Guest of Women's Space). "This space offers more than support. It offers a moment of calm in the chaos, and a reminder that people care." (Women's Space Volunteer). Your donation helps create these moments. Real care. Real impact. Right here in Byron.
