View the documentary on the Foilboard Guinness World Record, and stay after for an exclusive Q&A with James Casey and film maker Jamie Gray.
Inspiration comes in many forms and after the death of his father from brain cancer in 2021, ocean athlete and Australian Hydro Foil pioneer James Casey set out to put his name in the record books and explore exactly what’s possible, when it comes to long distance ocean crossings on a downwind foil board.
After having many conversations with his dad about what type of oceans, locations and distances were possible, James’ successful first 213 km, 12-hour attempt at ocean voyaging on foil has only just opened up what is truely possible in the future. This documentary is professional photographer, videographer and content creator Jamie Gray’s first documentary in what is an emotive and visually inspiring journey into the world of long distance downwind foiling.
