The Astor Piazzolla Experience is a powerful interpretation of the music of Astor Piazzolla, performed by Argentine musicians Adolfo Trepiana on bandoneon and Luciano Steffanoli on piano.

At the heart of the show is Piazzolla’s iconic Quintet repertoire, reimagined for duo. Adolfo and Luciano have spent years studying Piazzolla’s music, language and identity, creating a version that remains faithful to the spirit of the original works while allowing the music to breathe through the unique sound of bandoneon and piano.

An intimate yet powerful performance that reveals the intense and dramatic character of Piazzolla’s music from a completely different perspective. A dialogue between two musicians, moving from intimate to explosive, with the unmistakable energy of Buenos Aires.

Adolfo and Luciano have performed their interpretation of Argentine tango across Australia and internationally. Their 2025 Australian tour sold out across six cities, followed by performances at the Sydney Opera House and other major Australian venues in 2026.

The Astor Piazzolla Experience is also the culmination of their ongoing recording project, Revenge Plays Piazzolla. Following the release of their first album, the duo released Revenge Plays Piazzolla Vol. 2 in 2026.
