Byron Theatre is excited to welcome back STARS of Northern Rivers (Dance for Cancer) in 2023, with a whole new squad of local personalities who are ready to put their talent to the test to dance for cancer!

Get ready for a fun night of DANCING, and specular entertainment with our upcoming STARS of Northern Rivers spectacular, October 14th at the Byron Community Theatre, presented by the Cancer Council NSW.

Our Stars include some of our amazing local legends and business people who are ready to dust off their day clothes, don their sequins and put their up-til-now hidden talent to the test to dance for cancer! As well as gearing up for their on-stage dance performance, our Stars are also busy fundraising for cancer – did we mention these people are living legends!

We also have a stellar line up of amazing talent on display, from our wonderful Dance Teachers who have given up their time voluntarily to support and guide our Stars in their eight-week dance journey.  All our teachers are dance heros themselves and keen to make our Stars shine. We are in awe of their talent, generosity and spirit, and welcome them to our Stars of Northern Rivers event.

This is a very special fundraising event for the Cancer Council NSW. STARS of Northern Rivers will bring the region together and raise much needed funds for cancer research, information and support. With one in two Australians affected by cancer by the age of 85, the money raised from this event will go towards Cancer Council NSW and their world-class cancer research, prevention programs, advocacy, and support services to help those affected by cancer at every point in their journey.

To access the Cancer Council NSW services for yourself or someone that you love call 13 11 20.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
