Byron Bay, what can we say, our reunion was a sweet as can be. There were lots of familiar faces and plenty of new ones too. We danced and laughed and listened to some seriously good music all night long. Now we’re heading back up the Pacific Highway and doing it all again.
This King’s Birthday Long Weekend we’re throwing caution to the wind and doubling down in honour of the crown, right alongside you in your sunny seaside town. Because one throwdown in Byron town just wasn’t enough to quench the thirst, on Saturday 10th June we dust ourselves off and don our best party shirts as we settle into a night of debauchery, joined by our good pal and weapon selecta Michael James.
Taking inspiration from the likes of Perlon artists, Ricardo Villalobos and Zip, and, in more recent times, artists from the Romanian revolution such as Raresh, Rhadoo, and Barac, Michael has amassed an enviable vinyl collection, and has forged an underground sound of his own fusing elements of dub minimal, house, and techno. Regular 5+ hours sets at Ibiza’s infamously selective spot – Ibiza Underground have been supplemented by performances at Ibiza’s super clubs such as Privilege and Space, alongside his long term Ibiza residency at The Zoo Project.
Joining Michael on the Theatre’s stage, our captain Kerry Wallace slots into the warmup once more, with Al Royale and Jessie Belters signing on and settling in to round out a serious stellar lineup.
As always, you bring your dancing shoes and we’ll provide the rest.
See you on the dance floor xx
