FILM SYNOPSIS- An adventurous tale of two lifelong friends Hayley Talbot and Dan Ross. We follow their journey as they set off on a long-distance paddle down the Clarence River. In between stints on the water, they ask questions to the local people and uncover the mining industry’s risky plans to dig up the hills behind their home. They discover that the mining of rare-earth minerals has a long and chequered history throughout the world. Narrated by the wise and passionate Aunty Lenore, the film sheds light on the urgent need to safeguard our most precious resource - water. The evocative soundtrack by celebrated artist Ry X mirrors the meandering beauty of the river herself, and unveils the power of a grassroots movement, to save the lifeblood of the valley.
DIRECTED BY - Matty Hannon and Gary Parker are regionally based directors with experience producing award-winning documentaries in adventurous environments.
