Singer Madeleine Eliza and harpist-pianist Margaret Curtis invite audiences to experience the beauty and warmth of Christmas in NOËL — A Christmas Concert, at Byron Theatre on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 December 2026.
Featuring beloved songs including Silent Night, Ave Maria, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, Walking in the Air, and O Holy Night, NOËL combines soaring vocals, harp, piano and richly layered harmonies for an intimate and uplifting evening for the festive season.
Alongside familiar favourites, NOËL features traditional Christmas carols and Sanskrit mantra, bringing music from different centuries and traditions into a celebration of this special time of year - its joy, wonder and memories of those we love. Madeleine Eliza is a classically trained musician and theatre performer. Local audiences may recognise her from A Midsummer Night’s Queen with Drill Hall Theatre Company, Little Shop of Horrors with Bangalow Theatre Company, and most recently the children’s concert Once Upon a Song. Audiences at Madeleine’s performances this year have described her voice as “sublime”, “transcendent” and “the voice of an angel”.
Margaret Curtis is an accomplished harpist, pianist and accompanist based in Bangalow, known for her expressive playing and sensitive musicianship.
Welcoming people of every faith and none, NOËL offers a Christmas night out filled with beautiful music, moments of stillness and a little bit of magic.
