Louise King – cello
Louise King has established herself as one of Australia’s leading dynamic performers and educators. She is in great demand as a concert artist, as a chamber music partner, baroque and modern cellist, adjudicator, teaching artist, event producer, conductor, workshop facilitator, recording artist and a leader in community art and music projects. Louise‘s performing projects and engagements are diverse and eclectic showcasing the best of classical music fused with contemporary art practices, whilst exploring Australian music, women in music, improvisation, composition, folk music, and extensive collaborations with singer-songwriters, dance, mime and spoken word.
Dr. Roger Longjie Cui – piano
Roger Cui is a prestigious soloist who has performed in major international piano competitions in Australia, New Zealand, USA, and Germany. A prodigious talent, Roger won second prize at the prestigious Lev Vlassenko Piano Competition at the age of 18.
Roger is Principal Pianist at Queensland Ballet, Assistant Lecturer at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, a Yamaha Music Europe GmbH sponsored artist and s Kayserburg Pianos USA sponsored artist.
Roger has many ties across Australia and Germany. After he completed his Masters of Music in Karlsruhe, Roger was appointed as a Yamaha “Young Artist” with the Yamaha Europeans Headquarters in Hamburg, which included touring Europe extensively as a soloist and chamber musician. He now works also as the artistic executive for the Blacknote Production Studio in Hamburg, Germany. From his wealth of experience as a competitor, Roger now serves as the chair of jury for the Kayserburg International Piano Competition.
