British pianist and composer Joe Kirby brings his intimate live show to Byron Theatre as part of a small run of Australian performances in early 2027.Centred around the grand piano, the performance moves between stripped-back solo piano and more immersive pieces incorporating subtle electronics, field recordings and sound design. Much of Joe’s music is inspired by places, memories and sounds collected while travelling, bringing these elements together into an atmospheric and cinematic live performance.

Joe spent two years living in Australia, where his connection with the landscape and sounds around him had a lasting influence on his music. It was here that he first developed a passion for capturing sounds from the places around him and incorporating them into his compositions, an approach that has since become a defining part of his work and helped grow an online audience of more than 250,000 followers.

His music has now reached more than 36 million streams worldwide, with his work featured across film and television and in projects for Apple, The North Face and Volvo.
