A new, fun and free interactive feature has quickly become a popular inclusion at the Byron Beachside Market, offering visitors more than just a stroll through the stalls.
The Makers Club is a FREE workshop and demonstration series held exclusively within our artisan only Byron Beachside Market, designed to spotlight local creatives and invite market visitors into the creative process through live demonstrations, conversations and hands-on sessions that allow you to learn about each maker’s craft and try it for yourself.
“It was such a beautiful addition to the market. I came for a wander and ended up sitting down to create. It made the whole morning feel more connected and meaningful.”
Held just four times a year in January, Easter, July and September, the Byron Beachside Market is a seasonal event, making each gathering feel even more special. The Makers Club adds an enriching layer to these select dates, creating moments of deeper engagement alongside the stalls.
The series launched at our Spring market (September 2025) with Jugan Dandii, a weaving collective led by Nyangbal Bundjalung woman Aunty Tania Marlowe and fibre artist and educator Debra Cole. Visitors were welcomed into FREE learn to weave classes and open drop in sessions by the sea, creating a relaxed space for connection, conversation and creativity across generations.
Our next Beachside Market takes place on Easter Friday 3 April, when the Makers Club will return with another FREE creative experience to enjoy by the ocean.
It is a chance to go beyond browsing, connect with local talent and experience the market in a more meaningful way.
