Nudge Nudge Wink Wink returns to the Shed at the Billinudgel Hotel on Saturday 2 May, bringing with it a dancefloor that fills quickly, music that carries the room, and a community that shows up for something bigger.
From the first tracks of the afternoon, the tone is set. People arrive, settle in, reconnect. As the light shifts, so does the energy. The music builds, the room lifts, and by evening the dancefloor is moving as one.
It is a night shaped by flow and familiarity, where everything seems to click into place. A space that feels open, warm and shared, where the experience goes beyond the music.
Since 2015, Cunning Stunts has donated more than $454,000 to 42 local organisations, a reflection of what can happen when community, creativity and purpose come together.
This May, proceeds from the event will support Fletcher Street Cottage, a vital service in the heart of Byron Bay providing practical, day to day support for people experiencing hardship. From meals and showers to laundry and connection, the Cottage offers a safe and welcoming space for those who need it most.
As demand across the region continues to grow, support like this plays a direct role in helping the service continue its work.
The May line up brings together a mix of familiar faces and fresh energy. DJ HALO returns for a two hour closing set, known for her seamless, emotionally driven sound. Opening the night, DJ Favourite Son makes his first Nudge appearance, bringing a blend of organic grooves and melodic storytelling. Resident DJs Lord Sut and Dale Stephen, co founders and long time custodians of the night, continue to shape the sound and flow from start to finish.
There is a reason people return to Nudge Nudge Wink Wink month after month. It is the feeling in the room, the openness of the crowd, and the way the music brings people together.
The afternoon unfolds easily, the energy builds, and before long you are part of it.
Good music. Good people. A night that gives back to the community it comes from.
