Celebrate 30 years of storytelling at Byron Writers Festival 2026, a three day literary event bringing writers, readers and ideas together across Byron Bay.

This year’s festival unfolds across a multi venue precinct throughout the township, creating a townwide literary experience.

The 2026 lineup includes acclaimed Australian and international authors such as Trent Dalton, Geetanjali Shree, Melissa Lucashenko and Richard Denniss.

Festival passes provide access to a packed program, book signings and free community activations, with feature events held separately.

Times: 6am to 5pm daily programming, with feature events held separately
Location: Multiple venues across Byron Bay

Tickets:
Three day passes, single day passes and feature event tickets are available. Festival passes are valid for daytime programming only.

Parking:
Park and ride available from the Cavanbah Centre, Ewingsdale Road. Daily parking passes available.
