Welcome to the Byron Community Centre

Byron Bay's Community Centre is a unique venue complex reflecting the incredible vibrancy of this iconic town. Rebuilt in 2002, the Centre now boasts a state-of-the-art theatre for 250 people and several function rooms suitable for meetings, entertainment events and conferences.

The complex is also home to key community and education organisations including Bay FM, Southern Cross University, ACE and the Writers Centre. In addition, the Centre provides vital community services such as breakfast for the homeless, a pregnancy support group and emergency relief appointments.

Since being rebuilt the Centre has hosted over 800 major events including classical and contemporary concerts, theatre and dance productions, film screenings and an annual film  festival,  international and local conferences plus fundraising functions and more.

Located in the centre of town on Jonson Street, the Centre is undoubtedly at the heart of Byron's entertainment and cultural life. The theatre and the function rooms are available for hire. For more information, please contact us .
