David Sweet

David has lived in Byron for 16 years. He has two children.

After completing Law and Commerce degrees at Melbourne University, David was a trade union official for many years, following from that career David undertook a Masters of Environmental Science, and now runs a consultancy in that area.

David is making a comeback on the Board, he has previously served on the Board of the Byron Community Centre for 10+ years. Having undertaken the roles of President, Treasurer and Secretary during that time. He is passionate about ensuring that the community centre remains at the heart of Byron Bay, and to make sure we remain focused on serving the needs of the less fortunate members of our community.
