Friday 4 March - Sunday 13 March
The 2011 Byron Bay Film Festival (BBFF) was bigger and better than ever! The Festival ran for ten days and included over 200 films from the talented locals of Byron Bay and the Northern Rivers of NSW as well as new films from around the world.
The first Byron Bay Film Festival in 2006 was instigated by Executive Producer Greg Aitken as a fundraising initiative for the Community Centre. It focused on local filmmakers’ work plus other Australian films. However the Festival was soon expanded to include international films, a positive drawcard for the international visitors to Byron Bay.
The Festival is now managed by an independent team, working in close association with the Centre. The interactive relationship ensures the greatest benefits for the Centre, the community and the continued growth of the festival.
