The popular night market provides a fantastic opportunity for artists, designers and healers to showcase their talents. Its conception echoes the growing demand for direct-from-the-artist handmade, high quality and affordable art and design products. The focus of the Artisan Market is on authenticity, originality and sustainability.
The Artisan Markets in Byron’s main street operates every Saturday evening over the summer season from October through to Easter. This boutique market has over 30 stalls of local artisans selling jewellery, leather goods, clothing and accessories; plus delicious locally made food and live entertainment - creating a vibrant, family friendly atmosphere.
Saturday 22 October this year saw the Artisan Market become the Byron Surf Festival Market beginning at the earlier in the day. Alongside local artisans were products representing the surf culture, surf art, handmade boards, swim wear and accessories. This is likely to become an annual event.
