CHARITIES at the Gates:
Butler St: Stop Violence Against Women
Sommerset st: Wilson Creek Public School
Open from 8 - 3pm, preference is given to local stallholders who make or grow their produce allowing the market to play a valuable role as a business incubator. . Throughout the market site a multitude of stalls are filled with the 100% locally made creative delights.
Each month the market invites two local charities to be Charity of the Day. These charities collect donations at the entrances to the market and raise additional money through a stallholders' raffle. This popular method of fundraising is a major boost for many local organisations.
The Byron Market led the way in introducing a green waste disposal system. Through Waste Wise, our minimisation initiative, the market recycles all plastics, glass, aluminium and compostable waste.
To comply with relevant health regulations, animals are not permitted on the market grounds.
