The theatre is an outstanding venue for performing artists, conferences, meetings and cinema presentations. In its first year, the air-conditioned 246-seat theatre won the 2003 Dolphin Award for Best Venue.
The theatre has a bio-box, LCD projector, lighting and sound equipment, dressing room and loading bay. Technicians and additional technical equipment requirements can be arranged.
The theatre adjoins an outdoor courtyard area ideal for patrons during intermission. The courtyard can also be hired for small outdoor events.

B. No Frills Rate: $50 per hour
A special rate is available for rehearsals / seminars / dance groups. This can only be booked 3 weeks prior to the date. It exists to supports events that require no additional infrastructure apart from use of the theatre space.

At approximately 110 square metres, the Southern Cross University Room seats approximately 100 people in lecture style. It is adjacent to the Verandah Room, separated by sound absorbing concertina doors. It can be combined with the Verandah Room to form a single space or can accommodate 2-3 conference break out workshops (subject to numbers).
It is ideal for exhibitions, meetings, conference break-out rooms, classes or special events.

Adjoining a large balcony, the Verandah Room is ideal for meetings, conference break-out rooms, classes or special events.
On balmy evenings patrons can mingle indoors or on the balcony overlooking Byron's bustling main street.
$20 per hour (additional $25 to open or close out of office hours (Mon-Fri 10am-5pm)

The Byron Bay Drop-in Centre operates out of the Fletcher Street Room between 10am and 1.00pm four days a week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The room also hosts a breakfast for homeless people on Wednesday mornings between 8 - 9am and a pregnancy support group, also on Wednesday mornings. The room is available for hire outside those times. Comfortably catering for small to medium-sized meetings or classes, this room includes a small kitchen and amenities.

Stream a live conference to a defined or general web audience using Skype's multi-conferencing service or an iPhone (or any phone with Apps).
Record audio live at the Byron Theatre, either Mp3 or WAV file. Record video) requires hire of video camera/s and a video mixer)
Computer and/or movie presentations involving multiple moving images simultaneously projected onto the big screen from up to three different sources (Blu-Ray, Computer, DVD).
For theatre performances, we provide a box office service and refreshments. The venue is licensed and operates a bar in conjunction with threatre hire. We also provide theatre services to meet your needs, including technical, front of house and hospitality staff.
