A number of like-minded people from the far reaches of the globe are introduced, as their paths cross our protagonist while he walks the ‘Camino de Santiago’ with a donkey. Their similar and contrasting stories are revealed through abstract visuals and interview dialogue.
The film combines visual documentation of the physiological and social changes in individuals, generated by a physically and mentally grueling journey through the Pyrenees Mountains and on to the Camino de Santiago.
Years after returning from the journey the same pilgrims are interviewed in their hometowns to ascertain whether or not the pilgrimage was a catalyst for change in their lives.
The film is projected onto a screen behind musicians playing the sound track live. The production is designed to take the audience on a journey through story and sound.
