THE AUDREYS add extra dates to ‘’Til My Tears Roll Away’
Fans invited to send through song requests – Exclusive Monsters EP available at shows
As The Audreys prepare to spend June and July traversing the country, playing their acclaimed new album ‘Til My Tears Roll Away’ live, the Adelaide based duo of Taasha Coates and Tristan Goodall is pleased to announce additions to the tour. Two new dates are now in place, ensuring they’ll visit The Byron Theatre, Byron Bay on June 19 and Dunsborough Tavern, WA on July 5.
They have also unveiled plans for their live set, guaranteeing they’ll play the blues-rock-folk tinged ‘’Til My Tears Roll Away’ album in full, followed by audience requests from their first three albums! They are asking fans to leave a message on their Facebook page, specifying exactly which of the older material they’d like to hear live.
The ‘’Til My Tears Roll Away’ national tour represents the first time in more than three years that Taasha and Tristan have played live with a full band, on such an extensive level. The 2014 line up includes Shane O’Mara, axe man extraordinaire and producer of all four The Audreys albums. Truth be told they’ve been asking him to tour with them for years and this is the first time he’s said yes! Rick Plant, ex-Nashville player and former Buddy Miller band member will be on bass, with longtime drummer Ben Wiesner joining them again.
They will also make a limited edition ‘Monsters EP’ available exclusively for the shows. Compiling all four versions of their track ‘Monster’, including the previously unreleased ‘Monster Part IV’, the package also features a stunning hand pressed, hand drawn cover from multi-award winning illustrator Luke Jurevicious.
Known for graceful, impassioned live performances and ramshackle impromptu covers, as well as their playful banter and disarming charm, The Audreys have earned a considerable reputation as one of Australia’s finest live acts.
‘Til My Tears Roll Away’ is the fourth studio album for three time ARIA Award-winners The Audreys, and features the singles ‘My Darlin’ Girl’ and ‘Baby, Are You There?’.

Praise for ‘Til My Tears Roll Away’ has come in thick and fast:
“… an album of impressive depth and diversity… big minor chords, which combined with Shane O’Mara’s shaggy production and Tristan Goodall’s schizophrenic guitar (at one moment heartbroken, the next violent), support a record of abandon and grace.”
– Rolling Stone (4 star review)
“They exhibit a newfound swagger and muscle… It’s another winner.” – STACK Magazine (4 star review)
“Guitars buzz and fizz, rhythms rumble, in arresting contrast to Taasha Coates ever temperate tones… it’s a triumphant evolution… leaving behind the ‘banjos and violins’ in favour of rock guitars.” – Rhythms Magazine
“There is little on ‘Til My Tears Roll Away that passes for country and a couple of tunes that qualify as seriously sexy rock’n’roll… Pick of the bunch is the searing ‘Ballad For The Fallen’… (with) a vocal performance so good that it raises the hairs on my neck…”
– Courier Mail (4 star review)
“The Audreys, with Shane O’Mara producing, make a welcome return with a mighty sound palette on display. The first couple of tracks are straight from a purple paisley past with fuzztone guitars like big angry hornets buzzing in a whiskey jar. Then it’s acoustic and crying guitars for Keep Your Company. They go rock with big drums and heavy guitars for Ballad of the Fallen. There are actual ballads too, but it’s a large lively set generally. The constants are Tristan Goodall on guitars, and truly special singer Taasha Coates playing the damaged angel, flirting with boys and bars.” – The Age (4 star review)
“While still adhering to their country, roots and swing origins, they have muddied the sonic waters and injected some grit and grime… ‘My Darlin’ Girl’ is a long and slow bluesy number that rumbles with menacing intent as guitars swirl around Taasha Coates’ sultry yet gritty vocal” – The Big Issue (4 star review)
